QorTek is seeking a highly qualified Purchasing Agent to oversee the planning and control of goods and services necessary to the goals of QorTek. The successful candidate would interface daily with all areas in the organization.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and update supplier database
  • Assure cost and quality controls are being followed
  • Assure best practices for export control regulations
  • Extensive research to find the most cost-effective products and sources
  • Stay up-to-date on industry pricing trends
  • Materials management, planning and procurement
  • Procure, plan and control the cycle of materials
  • Ability to adjust plan based on design changes, part shortages, or customer needs
  • Effectively conduct communications with all outside vendors, both foreign and domestic
  • Monitor vendor performance
  • Ability to make procurement decisions and vendor selection for all company materials used to manufacture electronic components ceramics, as well as office supplies
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Earned BS in Business, Accounting or related field or High School diploma with five years of purchasing experience
  • Comfort with multitasking
  • Good analytical and math abilities
  • Accomplished and decisive negotiator
  • Experience with customs/export control regulations
  • Effective written and oral communication capability
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office Software Suite
  • Ability to exercise independent decision making
  • Detail oriented
  • Working with manufacturing and engineering disciplines
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • US Citizenship
