QorTek is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Technical Product Manager. This position will be responsible for leading a team to complete development and drive to completion of a consumer product. The successful candidate would interface daily with all areas in the organization.

  • Lead a Multi-Disciplinary Team of engineers to drive product vision forward through development, qualification, and into production
  • Lead and technically contribute to team direction through development cycle of product
  • Facilitate the creation of cost and resource estimates, solution options and roadmap for large scale production of technically complex electronic system
  • Interface with clients and customers to drive decision making and identification of requirements
  • Collaborate with the larger engineering teams to solve problems
  • Conduct market analysis on all assigned product lines to properly position products in marketplace
  • Perform competitor analysis to determine how QorTek products are positioned
  • Conduct product line strategic planning
  • Write Customer Interest Knowledge Briefs to document customer needs and desires
  • Define, develop, and prioritize product features and capabilities
  • Be the interface with engineering for product feasibility, cost, and schedule
  • Support the engineering Release to Production process
  • Support Export Classification / Process
  • Develop detailed task plans, estimate timelines, and establish technical risks required to meet high level project goals
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor


  • B.S. in ME, EE, or Systems Engineer with a minimum of five years’ experience at the level of manager
  • Understanding of power systems and power products
  • Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity
  • Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure
  • Project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Experience with Technical and/or Engineering Management
  • Background in Medical Devices, Product Development, Army Acquisitions, or Consumer Electronics (Desired)
  • Experience with UL products and product development
  • Experience with consumer product design
  • Familiarity with military and product safety standards (Desired)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and effective problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to create and maintain environment for engineers to grow and thrive
  • MUST be a US Citizen
