Job description:

This position is responsible for performing electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, and support production assembly tasks. These tasks are repetitive in nature and involve building, assembling & testing routine units.

Assemblers follow methods and sequences of operations for assembling sensors, cables, soldering, bonding, potting, testing, standard troubleshooting, and other manufacturing tasks.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform routine tasks in component assembly, bonding, potting, mixing epoxy, installing components, final test, and packaging for shipment.
  • Use common hand tools such as wire strippers, wrenches, screwdrivers, torque drivers, pliers, vacuum/pressure chambers and soldering equipment. Solder fine wires and flex circuits.
  • Handle small, delicate parts with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Reading blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions. Work with process engineers to troubleshoot issues and improve quality.
  • Accurately document production processes and checks. Follow parts lists and record lot numbers & production scrap.
  • Organized, work independently, and ability to work in fast paced environments.
  • Able to sit and work under a microscope for extended periods of time.
  • Experience with hand soldering and using a microscope preferred.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in ultrasonic sensor or piezoelectric ceramic device manufacturing (highly preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Basic skill level with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
  • Ability to read gauges and weighing scales.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work around hazardous materials including wearing PPE.
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Other tasks as required to support the business objectives
