QorTek is seeking an Electrical Engineer Level 2 to take on challenges in our DC-DC Converter R&D team. This exclusive group of engineers is responsible for the design and development of state-of-the-art power supplies for some of the world’s most advanced underwater acoustic systems for the US Navy. We are designing the next generation supplies that enable enhanced performance to counter emerging threats.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research new advances in electrical engineering and apply solutions
- Lead development of new circuits to improve systems performance
- Lead test activities with EE1’s and interns
- Collaborate with the larger engineering team to solve problems
- Work effectively with a variety of electronic test equipment including Tektronix oscilloscopes, digital power supplies, function generators, electronic loads, and a variety of probes
- Create virtual circuit models in LTspice or Plexim software products to rapidly advance and troubleshoot designs
- Be competent in measuring signals in a manner where the measurement setup does not alter the signal characteristics
- Develop detailed task plans to meet higher-level project goals
- Assisting in written and oral communication to sponsors
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Earned BS in Electrical Engineering or related technical disciplines (required)
- A minimum of three years of experience (required)
- Advanced circuit analysis and troubleshooting skills (required)
- Advanced programming skills (Embedded/HDL desired)
- Basic PCB layout experience (required)
- Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

- Demonstrated written and oral communication capability (required)
