Job description:
QorTek is seeking an on-site Senior Electrical Engineer to take on challenges in our Electronics R&D team. This exclusive group of engineers is responsible for the design and development of state-of-the-art power supplies and amplifier systems for some of the world’s most advanced underwater acoustic applications for the US Navy. We are designing the next generation systems that enable enhanced performance to counter emerging threats.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research new advances in electrical engineering and apply solutions
- Lead development of new circuits to improve system performance
- Lead design activities with colleagues, junior staff and interns
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Create analytical and virtual circuit models in LTspice or Plexim
- Develop detailed task plans to meet higher-level project goals
- Collaborate with Program Managers on sponsor communications
- Mentor junior staff in professional development areas
- Work effectively with a variety of electronic test equipment including Tektronix oscilloscopes, digital power supplies, function generators, electronic loads, and a variety of probes
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Earned BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience
- Advanced circuit analysis and troubleshooting skills
- PCB layout experience in power electronics
- Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Comfort with multitasking
- Demonstrated written and oral communication capability
- US Citizenship
- Eligible for Security Clearance (preferred)
